  • Scheduling Rule of Thumb
Please note that when scheduling your initial consultation, your meeting is added to our calendar on a "first come, first served" basis. While we make every effort to find times that are convenient for you, our schedule fills up very quickly. Therefore, if you have to cancel for any reason, please understand that your rescheduled appointment could be several days (or even weeks) out from your original chosen date. Please help us best serve you by choosing your preferred time and date that aligns closest to your availability to minimize cancellations and rescheduling.
  • What is a Soft-Editing Period
Assignee's may be permitted up to 14-days or, up to 15-hours of soft editing allowances; whichever is greater. For the purpose of a participants contract with Iris Designs, LLC, “Soft Editing” might be identified as small edits that may include: adding or removing content “copy” (identified as verbiage, videos, graphics, or pictures that the Assignee provides to the Assignor), minor html or other coding elements if the project already includes coding and it does not change the overall integrity of the website, the addition or subtraction of minor features or plugins; modify or repair of broken links; removing Malware, update DNS settings, or descaling the website, etc. Soft Edits are provided only within reasonable consideration, to the completed website project. Soft editing does not include a re-design of the final project, product, or service, adding new pages with content copy, adding membership pages, etc. For additional support outside the scope of your project and soft editing allowance, we will require advance payment equal to the hourly rate as noted in your Terms & Conditions (Change Request: Work performed outside of project scope) multiplied by the estimated number of hours it takes to complete

  • Will you have rights to your website?
WIX Websites: When creating a site with Wix, you won't own our website. You won't own your design. You're simply one of thousands of subscribers to the Wix platform, which you are granted a revocable license to you. In fact, Wix makes you agree to all of this upon signing up for its services. GoDaddy Websites: If you have a website or other content hosted by GoDaddy, you shall retain all of your ownership or licensed rights in User Content. Do you own the domain on GoDaddy? Domain name registration is the process of finding a web address (like GoDaddy.com or LilysBikes.com), and then signing up to use it. You technically don't own the domain, but once you've registered it, it's yours to use for as long as you continue paying the annual registration fee. Do I own my WordPress website? All the content you share on your self-hosted site is owned by you, as well as all the rights. This means WordPress cannot reshare your content anywhere. Site owners can also sell ad space on their websites with WordPress.org, whereas you can't with WordPress.com (unless using WordAds).

  • How long does it take to get a new website?
Our goals are to shoot for a six to eight week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, and how soon the content is ready – all affect the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.
  • Do I have to be local to work with you?
Nope! We work with small businesses and non-profits all over the United States and beyond.
  • Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Absolutely! Having a mobile-friendly website is more important than ever! We work hard to ensure your website looks great on a variety of devices.
  • How much input do I have in my project?
A lot! Your input and feedback is crucial to this process. We’ll start with a lot of questions about your needs, your likes, your wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.
  • I need to make a Change Request to my current project.
A “Change Request” is any request for work outside the scope of the Client Agreement. If such a request is made, the Designer will notify the Client that it is a Change Request. If the Client still wants to proceed with the Change, the Designer will bill the work on a time and materials basis, at the Designers hourly rate up to $120/hr. The designer may also extend its delivery schedule. If the Change Request alters the scope of the project by more than 20%, the Designer may submit a new proposal to the client.
  • What's the difference between Wix and Wordpress?
The main difference between the two are the technical approaches for each platform. WiX offers more ease-of-use for both the consumers and users of the platform, whereas, WordPress typically requires more technical knowledge for the user to make changes, or customized modifications. In terms of pricing, WordPress site contractors and designs are typically more expensive than WiX because of the technical knowledge and use of code for those platforms. We typically operate out of Wix however, if you prefer a WordPress site, we got you covered there too.
  • SSL Certificates, Meta Descriptions, SEO, & JSON-LD's"
Application of SEO, JSON-LD, and Meta Descriptions along with Facebook debugging, if needed. Basic SSL Certificates are automatically included on WIX websites. Please note that this is not applicable for every hosting platform and additional costs may apply. Wordpress: SSL Certificates must be purchased.
